alex geddes
Alex holds a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) from RMIT University and has completed additional certification in Dry Needling.
Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Alex spent several years living and working in Melbourne before returning home to the Coast. He is excited to reconnect with the local community and enjoy the lifestyle and outdoor opportunities that the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
Alex’s interest in osteopathy developed from his own experience recovering from a workplace injury sustained while working as a qualified electrician. Osteopathic treatment played an important role in his recovery and sparked his interest in pursuing a career focused on helping others improve their health, movement and quality of life.
During his clinical training, Alex gained experience across a range of settings, including aged care, chronic pain management and semi-professional sport. He worked with athletes within a Victorian Football League (VFL) program, assisting with injury management, rehabilitation and return to sport. These experiences provided exposure to a diverse range of musculoskeletal presentations and developed his particular interest in rehabilitation and restoring physical function.
Alex enjoys treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular interests in headaches, back pain, sporting injuries and persistent pain. He takes an evidence-informed approach to treatment, combining hands-on therapy with exercise rehabilitation, movement strategies and patient education to help patients understand their condition, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy. He values clear communication and works closely with each patient to develop a treatment approach aligned with their goals.
Outside the clinic, Alex enjoys an active lifestyle, including running, going to the gym and making the most of the Sunshine Coast’s beaches and outdoor lifestyle. He also enjoys travelling overseas, experiencing different cultures and exploring new places.
